CBST Families with Children at the Jewish Museum

Last weekend, our Limmud b’Shabbat community joined Rabbi Yael Werber and Jules Rose at the Jewish Museum for a hands-on, arts-based “Objects Tell Stories” tour.

We explored ritual objects, including a historic Jewish “wedding sofa” from Danzig, and an innovative “Miriam Timbrel” to go alongside one’s Elijah Cup. Students had the opportunity to sketch objects, as well as imagine which of their own objects should be featured in a future museum.
