CBST’s Purim Carnival was a joyful evening of music, games, and celebration for families and kids of all ages. With our “There’s Still No Place Like Home” theme as inspiration, the room was full of Oz-inspired costumes along with crafts, games, and of course the delicious popcorn bar and other carnival concessions.
Tkiya performed a lively Purim shpiel that had kids and grown-ups laughing, singing along, and shaking their groggers whenever Haman’s name was heard. Rachel Chang then led the room in a spirited sing-along that kept the celebration going.
An especially meaningful part of the evening was the community’s support for the Ark Immigration Clinic. Families brought a wide range of donated items that will go directly to clients served by the clinic.
Thank you to the kids, parents, teachers, and staff who made the evening so memorable.
CBST’s multi-lingual Megillah reading took us through the feats and foibles of Esther and Mordechai 18 different languages! And we were accompanied by some very special guests from Oz who led us down the Yellow Brick Road to remind us how to find that special Somewhere Over the Rainbow.
