Aging Together presents: Alternate Channels: Queer Images on 20th Century TV

Join media historian Steven Capsuto (author of Alternate Channels) for an exploration of gay and lesbian images on American television from the 1950s to the year 2000, as well as the era's very few pioneering bi or trans characters. The talk includes dozens of video clips, ranging from 1950s “sissy” wrestlers to shows like All in the Family, Medical Center, Soap, All That Glitters, Dynasty, L. A. Law, Spin City, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Ellen, and Will and Grace.  Register
