Community

As we move into the Jewish year of 5786, Congregation Beit Simchat Torah welcomes you to our community! Whether you’ve been here for decades or moments, we hope you will join us in fostering a sense of camaraderie and pride in our community. There are many opportunities for engagement at CBST, from forming social ties with fellow members to participating in social justice actions, religious services, education and learning, and more.

Our synagogue was founded by and for the LGBTQ+ community with pride, and we welcome people of all sexual orientations and gender identities through our open doors.

Because CBST is unaffiliated with any single movement, we benefit from  religious ‎and educational leadership that represents Reconstructionist, Reform, Conservative, and Orthodox Judaism. We take pride in our work and in the strong community with which we lead, support and learn.
