Steven J. Frank, Board Member

Steven J. Frank has been an active member of CBST for 19 years. Over nearly two decades, he has contributed extensively to the life of the congregation, serving as co-chair of the Children’s Education Committee during the formative years of CBST Limmud and playing a key role in its evolution into a fully staffed Hebrew school. He has co-led family programming, participated in pivotal clergy search committees—including those that brought Rabbi Rapport and Rabbi Werber to CBST—and helped plan the congregation’s 50th Anniversary Celebration. He currently co-chairs the B’ruchim Ha’Baim committee, supporting the integration of Rabbi Klein into the CBST community, and is a regular Torah reader at services, a practice he embraced alongside her family.

Professionally, Steven is Associate Director of Engagement at Hadassah, where he brings his expertise in marketing, outreach, and community-building to a national platform. His leadership has helped diversify Hadassah’s membership, engage younger demographics, and develop innovative philanthropic initiatives. Prior to Hadassah, he worked in publishing and higher education, holding roles including Associate Creative Director at Time Inc. and adjunct professor in theater and performance studies.

A skilled communicator with a deep commitment to Jewish values, Steven brings a passion for inclusion, engagement, and tikkun olam to all he does. He is particularly focused on building bridges across the CBST community, welcoming new members, and fostering connections that strengthen and sustain the congregation’s diverse and vibrant membership.
