Shabbat Emor, 2025
“There’s this special blessing that the Talmud gives us when we find ourselves not so focused on ourself and our own uniqueness, but instead catch ourselves staring at someone else. You sometimes find this blessing in the prayer book, and it says something like upon seeing exceptionally… strange looking human beings, you might say, Baruch ma’aseh habriyot, blessed is God who makes the creatures different… because each of us is made in God’s image, and each of us is different.”
Rabbi Jason Klein gave this drashah on Friday, May 9, 2025 / 12 Iyar 5785. Watch their full talk above.
