Leil S'lichot
Ba’al Tefillah: Cantor Sam Rosen
Piano: Music Director Joyce Rosenzweig
Each year at CBST we begin our formal preparation for the Yamim Nora’im, the Days of Awe, with the S’lichot Service on the Saturday night before Rosh Hashanah. The experience of preparing for the High Holy Days is both personal and communal; the work that we must do is spiritual, emotional, and intellectual. Before the service we gather to study some of the liturgical texts of the High Holy Days, preparing our minds and our souls for the days and weeks ahead.
Our evening opens with an in-depth study with Rabbi Yael Werber followed by a late night, candlelit service led by Rabbi Sharon Kleinbaum, Music Director Joyce Rosenzweig, Cantor Sam Rosen, and Larry Kay. To anonymously submit the sins you have committed since last High Holy Days for our communal recitation of “Al Chet,” please click here or visit bit.ly/CBSTChataim5784.
The music of the High Holy Days prepares us to open our own gates of teshuvah/repentance. All are welcome.
