In this mayoral election season, “I think we’re now also in a time where we have, in a way, become fire worshipers. We have become so addicted to anger and fiery-fueled rhetoric and hate-filled Facebook posts. It has become almost like something that we cannot turn away from, even as we know ourselves to be rational human beings who do not need to add fuel to the fire. It’s like we can’t help but get swept up in the anger and the heated conversations.”
