Ruth Kleinman, Membership and Engagement Manager

Ruth Kleinman has been working in the non-profit Jewish community for over 15 years. She comes to CBST most recently from Congregation Rodeph Sholom on the Upper West Side, where she connected with major donors to the annual and capital campaigns, and was the first point of contact for all donors to the various funds at the temple.

Prior to CRS, Ruth lived in Israel as a participant in a MASA Israel Program — volunteering weekly at both a community garden and a restaurant-style soup kitchen, studying Hebrew in Ulpan, interning with Jewish Eco-Seminars, and traveling to various parts of the country. Having worked for 5 years on several campuses at Hillel: the Foundation for Jewish Campus Life, she staffed many Taglit-Birthright Israel trips, supervised student leaders, planned and implemented programs, and connected with faculty and staff. Ruth currently serves on the boards of the University at Buffalo Alumni Association and Hillels of Westchester.

Ruth is a proud vegetarian, a life-long NY Rangers fan, and a former counselor at Camp Echo Lake. She lives in Port Washington with her partner and their son.
