CBST, the Middle East & Me

CBST, the Middle East & Me works to create space for discussion and reflection on our engagement with the people of Israel, Palestine and the conflict that remains between them. We are working to build community by exploring our differing opinions and taking pride in the multiplicity of perspectives that make our community strong.

This group has organized field trips, conversations, panel discussions and classes. We have hosted a broad range of voices to deepen our understanding and engagement, from members of the Israeli Knesset, to LGBTQ Israeli activists and local Jewish educators.

Join us on Tuesday, May 8th for a screening of the film Through The Wall, followed by a wine and cheese reception and discussion with the filmaker, Anne Macksoud.

This film follows a group of Americans who traveled to Israel and Palestine in 2016 seeking to understand what life is like for Palestinians in the Occupied Territories and in East Jerusalem. They met with Israelis and Palestinians, Jews and Christians and Muslims, each with their own narrative, most wishing to live in peace. Seeing Through the Wall invites and challenges viewers to question their own assumptions and prejudices.
