Rabbi Kleinbaum at the White House

CBST Senior Rabbi Sharon Kleinbaum and Randi Weingarten were honored to be among a select group of guests at this year’s White House Chanukah candle lighting, which took place on December 1st.

Rabbi Kleinbaum commented, “After not being able to gather with others for such a long time, it felt truly holy and momentous to be with everyone last night at the White House for the lighting of the chanukiah. There were so many incredible people surrounding Randi and me—fully vaccinated and masked, of course—and I found myself also thinking of all of you, my beloved CBST community. Thank you to the President, Vice President, First Lady and Second Gentleman for the invitation and for such a remarkable evening. I am truly grateful. Sending love and blessings to all of you from Washington, D.C.”
