Shabbat Rosh Chodesh Nisan

After a six-month sabbatical, Rabbi Kleinbaum returned to the CBST bimah with a stirring call to action.

“The work of renewal takes a lot of preparation, just like Pesach takes a lot of preparation,” Rabbi Kleinbaum said. “I pray for each of us that we can feel the winter passing in our hearts and souls, that we can experience a crocus coming out somewhere inside of each of us.”

“And we can have the joy and pleasure and awesome sense of the miracle in ourselves. Every time we see that crocus, every time wesee a bud this spring, let us remember. It is up to us to do the same.”

Senior Rabbi Sharon Kleinbaum delivered this drashah at Kabbalat Shabbat services on April 1, 2022 / 1 Nisan 5782.
