Shabbat Shemot

“We all have the agency to ignore miracles, or to notice them.”

Rabbi Sharon Kleinbaum relates the miracle of the burning bush to our own quest for spiritual revelation. Moses “makes a choice, to slow down enough to notice something that was there all the time.”

“Were we to slow down enough to notice,” Rabbi Kleinbaum continues, “we might be able to hear things that help us order the universe around us.”

Rabbi Sharon Kleinbaum delivered this drashah at Kabbalat Shabbat services on Friday, January 5, 2023 / 25 Tevet 5784.

Be in community with CBST at Kabbalat Shabbat services, Fridays at 6:30 p.m. ET, either in person or streaming live on CBST’s website.
