World AIDS Day Shabbat

From the AIDS epidemic to a world of increased LGBTQ+ visibility, CBST Board Member and World AIDS Day Shabbat guest speaker Dr. Rosanne Leipzig honors the past and celebrates progress.

“World AIDS Day commemorates a plague, but it also commemorates a miracle: a therapy that transformed AIDS from a death sentence into a chronic disease that can be managed and lived with.

“It also brought many of us another gift: being able to live our lives as our authentic selves.

“The bottom line: things really can change. May the memories of all of those who made this change possible be for blessing.”

CBST Board Member Dr. Rosanne Leipzig was guest speaker at Kabbalat Shabbat services on Friday, December 1, 2023 / 18 Kislev 5784.

Be in community with CBST at Kabbalat Shabbat services, Fridays at 6:30 p.m. ET, either in person or streaming live on CBST’s website.

CBST is an LGBTQ+ synagogue for people of all sexual identities and genders and a joyful, spiritual, proud community.
