Shalom Aleichem

One of the great traditions of the CBST Congregational Retreat is the “Pop-Up Chorus.” Made up of a new group of singers each year, the Pop-Up Chorus is a chance to learn a new piece of music over the retreat weekend. Some are regular members of the CBST Community Chorus, but other participants have never sung in a choir or have not sung in a choir for many years.

This year, we learned Noah Aronson’s “Shalom Aleichem,” an upbeat and lively setting of well-known words from Shabbat evening, envisioning the angels of peace accompanying our way. We are so proud of their hard work and this wonderful performance!

Music: Noah Aronson (Born 1985), arr. Music Director Joyce Rosenzweig
