"Sim Shalom" Performed by the CBST Pop-Up Chrous at the 2024 CBST Retreat

One of the highlights of the annual CBST retreat at Isabella Freedman Retreat Center is our Pop-Up Chorus. Under the direction of Music Director Joyce Rosenzweig, this instant ensemble met for three short rehearsals over the first Shabbat in May to prepare this fervent prayer for peace.

Composed by award-winning composer Zina Goldrich, the words of this prayer are drawn from the morning Amidah liturgy. Thank you to our amazing Pop-Up Chorus singers, who brought beauty and soulfulness to these urgently needed words.

Music: “Sim Shalom” of Zina Goldrich, arr. Oran Eldor, text from the Morning Amidah Liturgy

Voices: CBST Cantor Sam Rosen and the CBST Pop-Up Chorus

Piano and direction: Music Director Joyce Rosenzweig
