Many polling places have made provisions to allow senior citizens, or those with mobility issues, to vote without waiting in line. If you are a senior, or have mobility issues, it pays to go to the front of the line when you reach your polling place and check with the election personnel.
When elections are coming up, help encourage others to vote!
- Ask your friends and family about their plan to vote!
- Ask your neighbors if you’ll see them at the polling place!
- Share a photo wearing you wearing your “I Voted!” sticker on social media!
Are you text-banking, phone-banking, canvassing, writing postcards or letters, or anything else to help get voters to the polls? Send your photos and stories to rabbijames@cbst.org to be featured in our upcoming e-newsletter and social media on Instagram @cbst_nyc and on Facebook @BeitSimchatTorah.
And New Yorkers, don’t forget to flip your ballot and vote yes on Proposition 1, i.e. the new New York ERA.
