Mike Vine, Director

With 28 years of dedicated involvement, Mike Vine is a committed member of CBST, having served across various pivotal roles including Membership, Finance, Development/Fundraising, Strategic Planning, and as a Rabbi Liaison. Mike’s journey includes significant contributions as a former Board and Executive Committee member, where he held positions such as Treasurer, VP, and President from 1997 to 2003.

Beyond CBST, Mike’s community service extends to fundraising and development committees at JCP Downtown and the Museum of Jewish Heritage. He has also volunteered extensively with JQY, offering mentorship and support. Professionally, Mike contributed to the New York State Society of CPAs and New Jersey Children’s Aid and Family Services, focusing on enhancing educational programs and advocacy for queer youth and foster children.

Mike’s special skills in fundraising, strategic planning, and administrative management uniquely position him to support CBST’s financial resilience and operational growth. He is committed to fostering consensus within our diverse community, blending proven strategies with innovative approaches to navigate our next phase as we celebrate over fifty years. Strengthening our spiritual foundation through prayer, music, and education while addressing pressing social justice issues will be paramount. Looking ahead, Mike aims to facilitate a smooth transition for a new Senior Rabbi, ensuring continuity and growth for CBST.
