Shabbat Chayei Sarah 2024

“When I think about what Sarah’s life is, as presented by Torah, the question I ask myself is how? How was she able to endure so many challenging moments and keep moving forward? …it is [her] love for Isaac, for possibility, for belief in what could be that kept Sarah going through her fear, doubt, apprehension, through unimaginable circumstances. This love sustained her, nourished her, and allowed her to reach this season of her life where she could see that love made tangible.”

Cooperberg-Rittmaster Rabbinical Intern Marques Hollie shared these words on Friday, November 22, 2024 on how we learn persistence and love from the life and death of Sarah on parshat Chayei Sarah.
