Thirty years ago, Rabbi Kleinbaum joined CBST in the midst of the AIDS crisis, at a time when our community was suffering mightily. She brought her warmth and compassion combined with deep knowledge of Torah, history, and Jewish learning to enrich and support us when we needed it most.
Rabbi Kleinbaum has continued to grace our bimah with her learning, her joy, her outrage, and her fierce love of all things Jewish. In honor of the 30th anniversary of her visionary leadership, on behalf of the entire CBST community, I would like to express my deepest thanks.
Each Shabbat, Rabbi Kleinbaum urges us to exercise our muscles of gratitude. Through good and bad, she reminds us we must acknowledge and appreciate the things for which we are grateful.
I know that the entire extended CBST community joins me in sending Rabbi Kleinbaum many blessings and wishes for continued success and fulfillment.
In honor of her anniversary, I’m delighted to share with you this compilation of the 20th- and 25th-anniversary videos. I invite you to take a few minutes to watch them. They are an inspiring reminder of what CBST is all about.
With gratitude from all of us,
Sabrina Farber, President
on behalf of the CBST Board of Directors
and the entire community
