For the first time CBST will be hosting a FIRST night seder following a brief Festival Ma'ariv service. Honor the sweetest traditions of feasting and gathering as a community. CBST's First Night Passover Seder draws on familiar and newly formed texts and rituals. Enjoy a Kosher savory meal (vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options available) served in our Wine Family Sanctuary. We promise, this night will be different from all other nights. Bring friends of all faiths and ages - families with children are especially welcome. Together we will sing, pray, and celebrate our way out of Pharaoh's Egypt into greater strength as free people. We look forward to raising the four glasses with you.
For the seder itself, seating is limited and registration is required. Abbreviated Festival Ma'ariv services are open to all. A limited amount of subsidies are available for the seder. To request a subsidy, please contact Ruth at firstname.lastname@example.org with the subject line "CBST Seder Subsidy Request"
Halacha (Jewish law) prohibits eating chametz (leaven) during Pesach. Did you know we are also forbidden to own chametz or even to have it on our premises? Tradition provides a legal procedure: we can sell our chametz and, an hour after the end of the holiday, purchase it back (without actual delivery or pick-up). Use this form to sell your chametz to CBST.
