Lehrhaus Fall 5780 - To Every Season: Traveling the Jewish Calendar

Instructor: Miya Rotstein

Intended Audience: Open to all.

Join us for this 8 week class as we explore and delve deep into the Jewish Festival cycle. Each week, we will travel through the year learning about the origins, customs, and evolution of our Jewish holidays and traditions, beginning with the Jewish calendar itself. Reading excerpts from the Torah, Talmud and commentaries, as well as examining the rituals, arts and foods of Jewish communities around the globe will illuminate this exploration of time and space. Registration for this class includes a copy of The First Jewish Catalogue.
