Liberal Minyan Shabbat Morning Service
9:30am - Liberal Minyan Shabbat Morning Service
At our Liberal Shabbat morning services, we draw on our inherited traditions in a consciously modern context. The style of the service reflects the contemporary evolution of Sabbath worship over the last century in this country, with a malleable liturgical selection. Using the Reconstructionist prayer book, Kol Haneshamah, we pray old and new liturgy in both Hebrew and English. Torah is read in a triennial cycle, and there is always a discussion of the week's parasha (Torah portion.) Healing prayers are offered at every Torah service, and there is always an opportunity to say Mourner's Kaddish at the end. The service ends at 12:30 pm and is followed by a kiddush lunch.

How Can I Support Livestreaming at CBST?
Given the coronavirus, our livestreaming is more vital than ever in keeping our community tight-knit and vibrant. Livestreaming costs around $2,000 per week, which was not an originally budgeted expense — so if you want to sponsor a service to help us continue to hold Shabbat services and other programming during this challenging time, it’s a great mitzvah! You can sponsor the livestream in honor or in memory of someone you love. To contribute and make it possible for CBST to continue livestreaming, click here.
