Family & Friends Shabbat

Family & Friends Shabbat celebrates those who support the LGBTQ community and support us personally. Historically, Family and Friends Shabbat was a time for CBST members to bring loved ones who may never have been to a gay synagogue.  Today, when we bring our family and friends all year long, we celebrate Family and Friends Shabbat with our families, allies, community members and leaders with special pride and joy.

This year, we are joined by guest speaker, New York State Attorney General Letitia James.

ASL Interpretation will be provided at this service. Email accessibility@cbst.org to request seating close to the interpreters, or if you have any accessibility needs.

On this evening, we also take the opportunity to wish all the best to Cantor Steve Zeidenberg, who will be joining the clergy of Ohavi Zedek, a Conservative synagogue in Burlington, VT in July.  The printed Program will acknowledge Oneg Sponsorships and contributions to Music at CBST made in his honor (through June 10). Or consider dedicating a Prayerbook.

Don't forget:
Participate in the PRIDE SHOUT OUT! distributed at the June 28 Service and online.
