Israeli-Palestinian Memorial Day Ceremony
On May 7, communities across the US will gather to honor the annual Israeli-Palestinian Memorial Day Ceremony. For the past fourteen years, thousands of Israelis and Palestinians have stood each year to acknowledge the pain of those living on the “other side” and envision a better future together. This year, we are honored to be joined live by Robi Damelin, a bereaved Israeli mother and spokesperson for the Parents Circle - Families Forum. CBST is honored to be hosting this powerful event, which will be emceed by Rabbi Sharon Kleinbaum.
Join us for a special memorial event based upon the values of recognition, hope, solidarity, and non-violence. We will view inspirational footage of the Israeli-Palestinian Memorial Day Ceremony taking place on the same day in Israel, sing, reflect, and renew our community's call to end the conflict in a just and peaceful way.
Hosted by the New Israel Fund, American Friends of the Parents Circle-Families Forum, Americans Friends of Combatants for Peace, and Congregation Beit Simchat Torah.
Sponsored by the 14th Street Y, J Street, Partners for Progressive Israel, Churches for Middle East Peace, and New Story Leadership.
