CBST.JEWISH.LGBTQ.60+ trip: "She Persists" at Gracie Mansion

Registration is closed for this event

Join Rabbi Yael Rapport on a tour of Gracie Mansion through the new installation, She Persists: A Century of Women Artists in New York, 1919-2019 which displays the works of 44 women for whom New York has been a central creative force both past and present in the course of this according century.

"She Persists: A Century of Women Artists in New York, brings together women and women-identified artists and the artworks they have created to spark a desire to see the world more deeply, and perhaps even empathetically. The 60 artworks, objects, and archival ephemera on view, ranging from the earliest years of the 20th century to the present, are organized across four central themes: contending with history, body as battleground, picturing people, and expanding abstraction. Together, these works tell the story of tenacious endurance across modern history, even in the face of great adversity."  - Jessica Bell Brown, Curator
