Trans Jews are Here: A Teaching

Who is Mike Moskowitz and what is a Haredi rabbi anyway? What is an Ultra Orthodox rabbi doing at the LGBTQ synagogue?

Come to a conversation with CBST's Senior Rabbi Sharon Kleinbaum and Rabbi Mike Moskowitz, CBST Scholar-in-Residence for Trans & Queer Jewish Studies. Learn why Rabbi Moskowitz dresses the way he does, believes what he believes, and why, as a cisgender, straight male, he is passionate about allyship with LGBTQ Jews. Ask the questions you've been wanting to ask him.

This Teaching is a benefit event to help fund the groundbreaking March 29-31, 2019 Convening of trans and non-binary Jewish artists, academics, spiritual leaders, and activists, and the CBST Scholar-in-Residence for Trans & Queer Jewish Studies ongoing work - writing, teaching, pastoral counseling, and activism. Those who contribute $5,000 or more will receive special recognition AND an invitation for dinner with Rabbi Kleinbaum and Rabbi Moskowitz at 5:30 pm on January 8.  Contact Jesse at jkatz@cbst.org regarding the Convening. Contact Ann Targownik, Director of Development regarding sponsorship opportunities.

Follow along with Rabbi Moskowitz's source sheet.
