CBST is New York's only synagogue
whose primary-though not exclusive!-mission is to the gay,
lesbian, bisexual, and transgender community. Our membership is drawn from all over the New York

synagogue, you will also become an active participant in one of the New York GLBT community's most
vibrant institutions. Volunteer-driven and volunteer-led since our founding in 1973, CBST is an ongoing
effort to create an intensely spiritual community that is committed to Judaism in all its forms and to the
pursuit of social justice throughout the world.
